Star Trail Woodworks

Custom woodwork with grit, lore, and trail-tested design.

Hey, I’m Adam.

I run Star Trail Woodworks and My Camp Kitchen—where sawdust flies, stories stick, and every piece is built to last. Star Trail Woodworks is where I carve stories into wood—and where My Camp Kitchen’s trail-tested utility meets custom artistry.

I carve custom woodwork that means something. Trail selfies, camp kitchens, coffee table conversation pieces, commemorative plaques, and wall hangers—if it’s got a story behind it, I’m all in. I work with CNC tools and a lot of coffee, turning sketches and wild ideas into keepsakes you can touch, use, and pass down.

This shop blends two wings of the same bird: Star Trail Woodworks for keepsakes that stick, and My Camp Kitchen for gear that goes the distance. Whether it’s a kitchen built for camp or a carved mountain relief that feels like the terrain under your boots, I care about the finish, the feel, and the story it tells when someone picks it up.

These are the pieces that carry weight—trail memories, camp setups, and keepsakes built to last.

Meet the Maker

I’m Adam Eckberg—woodworker, photographer, van builder, and lifelong tinkerer. I was born in western New York, about as far from the city as you can get without leaving the state. I’ve chased a lot of passions over the years: slapping upright bass in a rockabilly band, wrenching on beat-up cars, and capturing moonlit landscapes with a camera that sees more than the eye ever could.

In 2017, I built a van named Ruby and hit the road to photograph the Great American Eclipse. That trip turned into a full-blown life pivot—selling my house, quitting my job, and chasing stories across the country. I’ve worked ranches, run race HQs, and carved out a new path in sawdust and sketchbooks.

Now I run Star Trail Woodworks, where every piece is built to last and built to mean something. I carve with CNC tools, a lot of coffee, and a deep respect for the stories people carry. Whether it’s a mountain relief that echoes your favorite trail or a gear rack that sparks campfire conversation, I make keepsakes that stick.

Let’s Carve Your Story!

Every piece starts with a sketch, a story, or a wild idea. If you’ve got something in mind—let’s talk.
